As we approach the 20th anniversary of the original release of Trade Wars (December, 1986), I am pleased to announce that I have reached an agreement with Sylien Entertainment to develop a long-overdue graphical remake of this classic game. But before we can proceed, we need your help. Because Trade Wars is 20 years old, I have lost touch with all but a small percentage of its fanbase. Unless we can reach out to this fanbase and prove that interest in Trade Wars still exists, we will be unable to secure the funding necessary to complete this project.

To accomplish this, we are running a small survey to estimate the number of people who have played or hosted Trade Wars over the years. By answering this one-question survey, you will enable us to demonstrate the great potential of a new Trade Wars project. Nothing else will be required of you, but if you choose, you may request to receive a monthly Trade Wars newsletter with updates on our progress. I’ve fixed some of the last bugs of the site. You might want to delete your cookies from the site if you have any more problems. The email sending funtions of the site should be working much better now, and we’re now able to dump the port 8808 crap.

The 2006 Haunted Halloween Tournament (HHT) Has been announced and already 20 people have signed up!!! Get in on the Fun!!!

HHT06 is a democratic draft tournament. the draft process includes the following steps:
1. players register by october 1.
2. registered players vote for the CEO they think is the best out of the list by october 6.
3. the vote counts are publicized and the top nominees are given the chance to decline.
4. 3 CEOs are announced.
5. CEOs are shown a list of who voted for them.
6. CEOs create a draft priority list by ranking every player by october 13.
7. CEOs are assigned a random number; lowest number gets priority.
8. teams are assigned round-robin based on each CEO’s draft priority list.*

Will be held at Vulcan’s Server and I am sure we can have him set up a
practice game this week for early corps and leave it running until day
before real one starts. This is no point system and will end with last
man standing. Really don’t want another issue like recently and don’t
want a stalemate so 16 death limit should also help with that as well.
More to follow but the rest of the ships and planet edits in the game
will remain as the edit is set.
