[UPDATE]
The following information is from Nazwes via ICQ:"A two week old backup of the core BBS software is intact, to get the system back up, hardware, a place to plug it in, and a few days of work are needed."
This news was originally taken from the [**Boo! inc. web site**](/files/Site%20Caps/BooInc/news.html), posted by Space Ghost.
The ICQ received from Nazwes Chaiwind:
>**ATTENTION**
Mission: Night Hawk BBS will be down until further notice due to a fire that destroyed the BBS computer, the rest of the network it was on, but worst of all, it destroyed my friend's home. I am going to do what I can to get the BBS back online as soon as possible, but I am not sure how long that will take.

Good luck to you on getting the BBS back up and also to your friend for losing his home.
Mission: Night Hawk BBS is to host "Trade Wars Survivor: The Canadian Wasteland" tournament beginning April 1, 2001.

Unless you have this main page directly bookmarked you should have seen the **promo graphic** for "Big Bang Friday" that Eleq has posted.
[](/static/img/0002.jpg)<img src="/static/img/0002.jpg" alt="Big Bang Friday" />
TOMORROW, *four* games will be started from scratch! Two will be rebangs of the Apocalypse and Lil'Funky games and the other two will be two brand new edits done by yours truly! One game is dubbed "Red Alert" and the other will be an Unlimited Dupe game to replace the current dupe game featured on the board. The Dupe Access from the main menu of the BBS may *only* be used for the DUPE games. You will be banned if you do not follow this rule.
We'll be looking to bang these sometime in the evening. Keep checking back for more specifics!
USO 2001 Just Keeps Getting Better!
by Fuseblown on 2001-03-08 | Categories: TradeWars.ws, TradeWars News
Turns out that I missed a lot of action last night in the [**USO**](https://web.archive.org/web/20010000000000*/https://tradewars.fament.com/guardian/uso02.htm). To keep things short, corp "Half-Baked" seemed to have a bad night losing the USO's top killer Xide (who passed the almighty hELLCAT by two kills to gain that title). Also, I have heard confirmations that Outkazt and Night Hawk have resigned from the game due to lack of blue support. We're down to only a few contending corporations for the USO '01 title!

God Smites Canada, Issues Press Release
by Mana Knight on 2001-03-08 | Categories: TradeWars.org, TradeWars News, TWGS Servers
The Mission: Nighthawk BBS was recently destroyed (along with the house that it was at) in a fire that was "Caused by God" as one person put it. Mission: Nighthawk was planning to host the tournament called Tradewars Survivor: Canadian Wasteland. 1 hour after the fire, God issued a press release concerning his recent smiting of Canada.
>Lo, and I dids't smite Canada for producing beer that is far more toxic to my people's body than that produced in the fair USA. I didst choose thy hallowed Nighthawk BBS to be cleansed for it doth represent the apogee of Canadian technology. And yes, sex while a couple is engaged is still considered out of wedlock.
You heard it here first.

*NEW* Games This Friday!!
by Fuseblown on 2001-03-07 | Categories: TradeWars.ws, Site News, TradeWars News
Stardock BBS will be rebanging two of its current games and banging two **\*NEW\*** games this Friday! The Apocalypse and Lil'Funky games will be rebanged using their current edits (as requested by many players).
One of the two new games will be dubbed "Red Alert" which will contain lots of ships edits, low turns (650) and low sectors (5k). All original planets will have citadel construction times cut in HALF and there will also be a new planet (Jungle).
The second new game will be an "Unlimited Dupes" game. The game will contain low turns, low sectors, and a few ship & planet edits. You must use option "D" from the main BBS menu in order to access dupes for this game!
The "Riot" game has closed and will be ending, along with the current "Duper's Delight" game. --=Nav Haz Unltd.=-- has won both of the past "Riot" games and they have been added to the [**Game Champions!**](https://web.archive.org/web/20010000000000*/https://www.thestardock.com/cgi-bin/index.cgi?champs.htm) page on the site. Once winners are decided for the other games they will be placed there as well!
**e-mail me** with any questions and/or suggestions. Enjoy!!
