Tom "Woody" Pocky
October 20, 1968 - February 17, 2011

Tom "Woody" Pocky, known throughout the Trade Wars 2002 community as Space Ghost, was the CEO and Founder of Boo! inc., one of the most legendary corporations in the game's history. His passing on February 17, 2011, marked the end of an era for a community that he helped shape and nurture for over a decade.

A Gaming Legend

Space Ghost wasn't just a player—he was a pillar of the Trade Wars community. With tons of experience and encyclopedic knowledge of the game, he was available 24/7 to his team and fellow players. He embodied the Boo! inc. philosophy: to be hardcore yet civil, to give 100% effort, to educate and promote Trade Wars 2002, and above all, to have fun whether winning or losing.

The Tournament Organizer

Tom's contributions extended far beyond gameplay. He organized and hosted numerous tournaments, most notably the Haunted Halloween Tournament (HHT), which became a beloved annual tradition. He also coordinated participation in prestigious events like the Battle of the Elite (B.O.T.E.) and created "Big Game" tournaments that brought the community together. His TWGS server provided countless hours of entertainment and competition.

The Poet Warrior

Between 1999 and 2000, Space Ghost penned a remarkable collection of Trade Wars-themed poems with titles like "Twas The Night Before Christmas," "I Wish I had one Life Left," and "The Night Before Rebang." These creative works, filled with humor and gaming references, showcased the passion he had for both the game and its community.

His Legacy

Tom drove a taxi in real life—his "pod" as he called it—but in the virtual universe of Trade Wars, he commanded fleets and built an empire. He played under various aliases including "RacerX," but his voice, personality, and dedication to the game were unmistakable.

The Boo! inc. ethos he established continues to resonate: be a hardcore competitor, kill as many people as possible, yet remain civil and humble. Congratulate victors with grace. Never stop having fun.

Rest in peace, Space Ghost. The sectors are quieter without you.
