Seems Hellcat fibbed a bit on his [profile](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.thestardock.com/hellcat.htm). A [post](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.eisonline.com/TWForum/messages/3061.htm) made on the EIS Forum by Hosem clarifying a few items on his profile. First off, here's a quote you should always remember:
"Gypsy is correct. Bless his dusty cobweb infested brain....Gypsy is nothing? As much as he can be a pain in the ass, he only did more for MBBS TradeWars then arguably any user in the history of this game. You still play this game that should have died years ago perhaps because of people like him who kept the interest alive. Who said that? I did. aka Anthrax."
Among other things, Hellcat apparently killed Gypsy, Monday, Hosem, Gary & Ann Martin, and John Pritchett all with one photon. Oh yea, he also invented Nuclear Fusion and the [Internet](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.algore2000.com/).
I Wish I invented the Internet....

Cheating at Merlin's Keep
by Mana Knight on 2000-02-22 | Categories: TradeWars.org, People, TradeWars News
[Merlin](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.surf1.de/home/merlin/index.html) Made a [post](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.eisonline.com/TWForum/messages/3035.htm) About one of his Game-ops cheating in one of his games. Won't be adding them to the Hall of Shame.
New Addition to the Hall of Shame
by Mana Knight on 2000-02-22 | Categories: TradeWars.org, People, TradeWars News
It seems someone was unhonorable enough in the USO tournament to actually try to hack into people's accounts. He got into both Rawhead's and possibly to Ripclaw too. Here's his pertanent Information:
```
game name is: Analyzer
email address: Jeremy_Houston_34@yahoo.com
IP address is: 12.28.69.23
```
I'd suggest all Sysops to ban this IP. It also looks like I have the unfortunate task of Updating the Hall of Shame again.
USO Server moves for the last time.... No, Really.

Barb has given me official notification that I will now be hosting the USO game. The game at twgs.tradewars.org will be deactivated at 12:00 tonight and the game will then continue on my server after the data files have been transfered. (The game will not be starting from scratch like last time.)
The Unlimited bandwidth offered by my 56k connection in tandem with my Quality Radio Shack Tandy 1000 at the server's core will provide the best experience yet. As [someone else](/)would say, this server will "Manhandle" the competition! the new address will be telnet://idiots.tradewars.org

Big Lag in Little Frogland
The USO is now having to restart after the Lag monster tore down the Server that was once Frogland. After a vote, the USO is going to be moved to [Miller's Pary Board](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.mpb.com/). The game is going to start from scratch tomorrow so Everyone who was originally killed by Hellcat can get their Ass kicked one more time.

While I was was out looking for a girl that would talk to me this Valentine's Day, Some of you are having even [more fun](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.egroups.com/list/tw2002/md1494628857.html) playing on the USO, which started today.
Barb "I'm proud of my Body Damnit!" Cruz, (aka Badgirl, you know, the person who put together the USO?) has set up the [USO Obituaries](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.expage.com/page/usopenobits) page. as of this writing, Hellcat is in the lead with 10 pods and 3 kills.

Guardian Moves page
by Mana Knight on 2000-02-13 | Categories: TradeWars.org, TradeWars News
Guardian has now moved [Dragons Elite](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://home.columbus.rr.com/dragonelite/). Also, it's been updated with new players for the first time in two months.
Epicenter supposedly updated his page with a new look, but every link to it seems to be dead. (shrug)
Lastly, [Rolodex](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://tradewars.homepage.com/) has put up a new webpage.

Doug Underwood has finally made [a post](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.egroups.com/group/tw2002/11674.html?) in the Egroups forum concerning [TWAR for Windows](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://webhome.idirect.com/%7Etwar/).
In other news, Fire and Brimstone are now raining down outside my dorm room....
New TWGS Beta, get ASAP
A new TWGS Beta has been released on the [EIS](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://eisonline.classictw.com/) Besides the fact that **Extern actually works now,** It also fixes the Tri-Cron bug! I recomend Installing this immediately to keep those k00l d00d players from becoming millionares without having to put up with Regis Philbin.
No updates in a week?
You may notice there haven't been any updates the past week. Am I up to my old tricks again? Not really. I just happened to have 3 tests that conviently coincided on this one week. Hell, I gave my computer to my friend to make sure I'd study.
Where's My Check?
by Mana Knight on 2000-01-30 | Categories: TradeWars.org, People
Walked over to [St. Trizi'T](/)'s site today and noticed it had the apocalyptic message of "Home Sector 3.0 is coming"
After hacking into Eleq's security system, I've found that 34% of the refers were sent to his page from here. This leads me to question, **Where the hell is my check for services rendered?**
OH YEA!

Tradewars was recently mentioned in a [Firingsquad](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.firingsquad.com/) review of [X: Beyond the Frontier.](https://web.archive.org/web/20000000000000*/https://www.firingsquad.com/games/xbtf/) In particular, there's a quote about tradewars in. If your lazy, (The lazyness should have osmoised itself into your very soul by now by just visiting here) here's the quote in particular:
> "Some of the best trading games were text only! The BBS classic "Trade Wars" was a turn-based, text-described game that has as many fans as the graphical Elite and Privateer games."
I hope those Firingsquad guys read this page. if they don't, then I guess I'll have to make a trip to California to personally have my boot meet their backside.
