This is my first (and probably last) update in quite a while.. Ender has opened up his site [Galactic Trade Wars](https://web.archive.org/web/20020000000000*/https://www.galactictradewars.com/) and the [Trade Wars Journal](https://web.archive.org/web/20020000000000*/https://www.galactictradewars.com/twj/index.htm). Please check it out and post any news articles, game rebangs, etc. that you may have. He is also working on a new tournament game called the [Blast-Off Tournament](https://web.archive.org/web/20020000000000*/https://www.galactictradewars.com/bot/index.htm). Paladyne has created a file called the 'Planet Handbook,' packed full of good information on general planet and citadel information. It also contains information on building, colonizing, planet farming, and sector and planetary defenses. The server crashed again late Thursday night. At this point, I'm taking the server offline for an undetermined period of time. I have an offer to relocate the TWGS temporarily until I can get things fixed. I'm working on sorting that out right now...and if the relocation goes through, it will still be at least 8-10 days until I can deal with that. I have a very busy schedule for the next 9 days, and only 2 of those days I will be in town. I *may* be able to take care of it in those two days (Thursday and Friday), but I can't say for sure at this point. Once more, I apologize for all of the inconveniences.. hopefully things will work out in the end.

I should have hit some of these when they first appeared, but alas, I can't keep up with news much anymore...but here goes.. First of all, [TW Gazette](/category/TW_Gazette) is now back online and being updated! Congrats to Timberwolf on bringing his site back into the mix of things! Second, [Planet Tradewars](https://web.archive.org/web/20020000000000*/https://www.planettw.com/) has opened up a new section called the [Tradewars Archives - For The Learnaholics!](https://web.archive.org/web/20020000000000*/https://planettw.com:8080/twarchive/)! Definitely a site to check out for TW information and something to look forward to in the future as new information is added! Last, but definitely not least, in response to the TW Archives going online, Pagan has created a learning center for TW as well at the [Stardock Omega](https://web.archive.org/web/20020000000000*/https://www.hubtoo.com/tw.html) web site! More good information to check into as well as player and sysop interviews! It's good to see TW sites still going strong, as well as new ones popping up to keep the game alive as well as "open the pipe" to the flow of TW information that is out there! The TWGS is down yet again because of the server freezing. It was doing good for a while, now it's doing it all of the time again. I'm going to restart today at 3:00PM EDT. If it freezes again when I'm not available to put it back up right away, I'm going to take it down until I can get the problem fixed for sure. If this happens, it could be some time until I have the chance to really sit down and mess with it. I'm not going to run a half-assed server where it's going to be screwing players over like this. So the restart will happen in about 90 minutes from this post, again, if it goes down, I will be taking it offline for an undetermined amount of time. Could be a day, could be a week, could be a month until I get it fixed. I have a lot of other things on my plate right now **outside of TW** that are of #1 priority to me.

The server will be coming back up at 6:00PM EDT. Sorry for the downtime, I really have to do something about this machine. :-

With the exception of Liquid Chaos leaving TW and handing over Planet TW to Silver Dragon, the 3 rebangs at Home Sector, and Col. Sanders making an **(|_)** of himself in the forums, news has been slow of late, so I am gonna concentrate over the next couple days to getting my other websites online reflecting my interests in bowling, pro wrestling, and when I get a digital camera, nature photography. I may also put up a personal site. Liquid Chaos has left TW and handed over Planet TW to Silver Dragon and is working to get TW Links back online before he leaves.
